We bring together like-minded people from all walks of life, united by a single belief: that clear vision is a right, not a privilege. Together, we are working to make that a reality across British Columbia.

As Vice President, Sam is passionate about helping individuals gain access to eye care services. Reading didn't come easy in his own childhood, and he wants other children to receive the support they need to succeed. Originally from Calgary, he has lived in the Okanagan for over a decade. After completing a Kinesiology degree at UBC, he worked with hockey players as a strength and conditioning coach before training as a Pedorthist at Western University; he now practices in Kelowna, helping patients manage foot and ankle pain through gait analysis and orthotic design. In his free time he thrives outdoors — skiing, cycling, and hiking.
Miranda Wardman is a lawyer with Pushor Mitchell LLP, practicing civil litigation and administrative law. Originally from Salmon Arm, BC, she is happy to have returned to BC's warmer weather after time in Saskatchewan and Ontario for university. As a long-time glasses wearer, Miranda felt uniquely qualified to join the We See BC board and help fill the gaps in vision care for BC children in need. Outside the office, she enjoys recreational sports, snowboarding, riding horses, trying new foods, and spending time with her two pugs, Olive and Fig.
Sue graduated from the University of Toronto with a commerce degree in 1988 and worked in banking for many years before becoming a teacher in 2006. Her experience makes her well suited to the financial side of We See BC, while her years in the classroom reflect her passion for working with children. She has seen first-hand how important eye health is in helping young students reach their greatest potential. When not teaching, Sue enjoys baking, gardening, fitness and nutrition, and travelling.
